by David E. Pratte

The Family Reading Booklist: Free Reviews of Wholesome Books for Families, Children, and Young People. Evaluations of moral and spiritual or religious content based on Bible (Christian) standards. By David E. Pratte.

This material includes reviews of hundreds of books evaluated according to Bible (Christian) standards for moral and spiritual content. The evaluations look for positive qualities such as honesty, hard work, kindness, family values, courage, helpfulness, respect for God or parents, etc. Negative qualities identified include drinking, profanity, violence, gambling, smoking, sexual suggestiveness, etc.

The main purpose for the booklist is to help parents choose good books for their children to read for pleasure or for families to read together. It can also be used to help select reading materials for regular school work.
