Family Times has compiled more than one hundred reviews of materials for use by home schoolers. This includes reviews of complete curricula, specific subjects, Bible study, magazines, and much more. We make these reviews available free to all subscribers to the Family Times newsletter.
All reviews are written by home-school parents who have personal experience with the materials they review, and all are written from the perspective of Christians who attend non-denominational, non-institutional churches of Christ (see note below*). This is the audience that we seek specifically to benefit.
Most reviews contain information about costs, addresses or phone numbers where the materials may be obtained, etc. This information is so hard to update that we specifically acknowledge that it is most likely outdated. We absolutely make no guarantees of current accuracy for this information! We advise readers to use the listed costs only as "ball-park figures" for cost comparison purposes. And we hope the address information will serve at least as a starting point to help find publishers. You may need to use the Internet or local library to find up-to-date information.
This material is copyrighted. Many hours have been invested in writing and editing it. Each subscriber may use the file of reviews only on condition that he/she must promise to respect our guidelines for its use. A subscriber is free to make copies of these reviews on his computer or on paper for the use of anyone in his immediate household. But he is not free to give any copy in any form to anyone outside his household (other people may access the material by subscribing to Family Times). We require each subscriber to promise to abide by these guidelines. Please obey civil law regarding copyrights and honor your responsibilities as a Christian.
We plan to update the reviews from time to time. Family Times subscribers have the right to access the reviews online on this web site for the remainder of each school year for which they subscribe to Family Times. The access code will be changed approximately in September of each calendar year. After the access code changes, subscribers may, of course, keep the reviews that they have already downloaded; but they will not be able to access any revisions or updates in the reviews unless they subscribe for the new school year.
If you subscribe to the Family Times newsletter, each issue will contain the access code which gives you the right to access the reviews online on this web site for the remainder of your subscription.
